I commenced practice in Nerang in 1984, starting with my wife as receptionist. I now have another Optometrist, two Optical Dispensers and two receptionists. My practice covers all aspects of Optometry.

I have a full range of trial disposable contact lenses for most types of prescriptions.

We have the very latest in digital Retinal Fundal Photography equipment, helpful in early detection of Diabetic Retinopathy as well as Visual Field testing, again used for early detection of Glaucoma.

BEHAVIOURAL OPTOMETRY

Alice Forsyth specialises in this branch of Optometry which relates how we use our vision in the things that we do: -
For CHILDREN this is learning and playing
For ADULTS this means day to day tasks, occupations, hobbies and sports.

It has application in areas such as learning difficulties, traumatic brain injury, and binocular vision (using our 2 eye together).

Frames

The range of spectacle frames has been expanded to include many quality fashion and budget frames. The Optical Dispensers are trained to advise on all the latest spectacle lens designs and materials including multifocals and rimless frames.

Colourblind Treatment Centre

I am proud to say that we can now treat Colour Vision Deficiency effectively with special filter coatings designed and manufactured in Japan. We were the first practice in Australia to have this and currently we are the leading treatment centre for Colour Vision in Australia. We have had many interstate and international patients make the journey to have a colour vision assessment and enjoy the wonderful experience of seeing new colours for the first time! The remarkable new iRO lenses are outstanding quality lenses which outperform all expectations and are helping enhance the quality of life for hundreds of people.
